In middle school he was a national finalist for two years in Engineers Week’s Future City Competition. During his junior year of high school, Aric was chosen to receive the $20,000 Atkinson Striving for Excellence Award and also represented Southwick-Tolland Regional High School at Massachusetts Art All-State.
