The Biblioteca Regional and Archive is a conversion of an old brewery. The building is split in two separate parts, the Library and the Archive. The Library is held within the old building and has turned the old silos into storage space.
We proceeded around the building and into the Library where we were allowed to take photos. The lobby has an interesting combination of new and old.
Upstairs there is still remnants of the old brewery in the study rooms of the library.
After going around the library we headed over to the archive. While the library was built mostly in the existing brewery buildings the archive was built in mostly new buildings.
The archive is where the documents from the region are stored in order to protect them for future study. Inside the building consisted of long hallways that lead into vault rooms where the documents are stored. This was a huge contrast to the archive we had seen a day earlier in Toledo.
